Cherry Angiomas
What is a cherry angioma?
Cherry angiomas are raised red spots on the skin that are medically insignificant, but may be cosmetically bothersome. They are common and often familial. These lesions range from pinpoint size up to several millimeters. With time, cherry angiomas tend to increase in number and in size.
How do you get rid of them?
Our laser treatment for these red skin spots is rapid and achieves excellent results. This laser treatment gets rid of the lesion permanently.
How long does it take to heal?
After laser treatment, the red spot, or cherry angioma usually becomes less red immediately, and may form a small crust or scab which falls away in a matter of a few days or up to a week.
How long does the treatment take?
This laser skin treatment is rapid. Large numbers of red age spots can be treated in a very short period of time. Cherry angiomas are most commonly found on the neck, chest, abdomen, trunk, and arms but red spots on legs are common as well.
Is it painful?
Anesthesia is not required – the only effect felt is a hot and tingling sensation that is well tolerated.
